Five In one!!

I am so excited I sold 5 hats in 1 day... Well it was to the same person but oh it feels pretty good right now.

I think I am to hard on my self and never think it is ever good enough, so I am really nervous and anxious at the same time to hear back from this sweet lady who bought these for her grand daughters

                                           The hats go from 1 and a half years to 8 years

                                                She picked their favorite colors for each one

                                          and I added the accent color to go along with it

       These pictures don't show very well but there is a matching ribbon to go with the
       flower in front.  I loved making these hats and hope that these girls will love wearing
      them.....  From my home to yours... have a good weekend everyone....

Spring is here....

Hi everyone, I don't know about you but I am so glad Spring is here... I am ready to get my garden planted, flowers in and smell  fresh mowed lawn...aaahhh....lol...
It is so pretty this time of year to see all the blossoms on the tree's... just like the primary song..
Popcorn popping on the Apricot Tree... My little grand daughter said it looks like popcorn but not to eat and I told her... later on in the summer we will be eating what is on those trees...

So I've been busy trying to get some more things on my etsy shop.. I haven't had anything new since Christmas, and I think it is about time I get my butt in gear and start working on it again...

           Here is my grand daughter Macie wearing one of the crochet hats I have been working on
They are so fun to make and I really think it looks cute on too.... maybe it is the cute girl wearing it

It is made with tan yarn and has a crocheted flower with crochet thread on the front with and a button in the middle with dark pink, orange and lime green ribbon

This one is a blue and white with yellow and white flower pulled up in the front with a matching ribbon

White hat with red, white and blue ribbon and red flower and black button ... Wouldn't that look cute for a young lady wearing that on the 4th of July watching the parade and celebrating our countries birthday.....

These little pink one are for the infants , one is pulled up in front and the other one the sides are all down one has a rose color flower and the other one is brown and beige flower.

I am thinking of selling them for $20 dollars each and hope to have them on my shop this week...

What do you think???   To much or not enough...
That is the hardest part  putting a price on things  and making it worth my time but not to much that nobody wants to buy...

Far and Few Between....

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, it seems life is so busy and I haven't had the time to sit down and blog... And here we are ready to celebrate Valentines Day... I thought I would share with you what we did  at the hospital where I work with the long extended care patients..

Each one decorated a envelope with there name on it and we hung it on a board in the hall so everyone could see.  This is a great idea to do with your families, you could hang them up at the first of the month and see on Valentines Day who has the most notes in their envelope...

We have ten residents in our facility at this time and I encouraged them and the staff to write a note to each one to be able to read on Valentines day...

We called it "Share The LOVE....."

So what is all of you doing this Valentines Day to Share The LOVE?????

I know one of my daughters is doing the 52 reasons she love her sweetie with a deck of cards and the other one is doing the ABC's for hers.  If you haven't got your Valentine something yet go on pinteret and there is a lot of cute ideas... Yes I am one of those who Love, Love, Love pinterest.

I actually got some ideas for myself to do for my sweetheart as well...

 So what is everyone traditions for the Holidays???

We spend our Christmas with our kids and grand kids, we have a special dinner Christmas eve, with a program and Santa and our church and the exchange of gifts follow, and Christmas morning grandpa and grandma are up early visiting the kids to see what Santa brought with such enthusiasm each one has to show every single thing they got, and then dinner for all that can come back to my house.

This year is something special for our family the Green Bay Packers are playing that evening, what a way to end a great Christmas Day!!!!!

                          This is what I did on my Friday day off....

I am not one to brag but I think he turned out real cute...

If you have a 2x4, saw and paint you can make yourself one of these too

I first started with making this Christmas tree, and then as I was doing that I thought gee a snowman would look cute

And then when I was almost done with the snowman I thought wow a gingerbread man would work

And now that it is done I am thinking I could make a cute penguin to go along with these winter friends.... What do you think????

Oh my Spring and Summer will be here before we know it ( I hope ) .....  I am going to have to go to the lumber yard and get me some more 2x4's...

So this is what I woke up to...

I am standing on my porch looking out over the driveway.... 

Not even all the leaves are off the trees.... I have to agree that it is a beautiful site...

I think I am more ready for winter then I think... this weekend my daughter shelby and I decided to do some winter crafts..

Shelby made this a few weeks ago...  the bottom block is glittery and looks really cute when the light hits it just right

When we  made this cute snowman and tree we really didn't think winter would be here Monday.....

They just fit in my "Country Home" but I am going to put them on my etsy shop hopefully this week.... So what do you think???

Are you ready for winter and the snow??? Well grab a cup of hot chocolate, a nice blanket and book, and sit by the fire and stay warm.... that is my answer to enjoying winter... oh wait I do have to get out in the snow... I work.... dang it maybe when I retire I can enjoy Winter...

My "Forever Family"

It seems like life is passing me by... I can't believe that I am this age and my kids are mothers and fathers and I am a grandma... Where did the time go??

So I just wanted to say that I love my family so much and so glad we are a "Forever Family"

We had our family pictures done this summer and I am so glad that we got everyone there....

My grand kids...aren't  they the cutest things ever.... I know everyone things their kids are the cutest and you should.... I am one proud grandma

Okay so maybe we pushed them just a little bit... they had had enough when we were trying to take this one....

So here we all are... as you can see we are Green Bay Packer fans....true Packer fans...  We have such a great time during football season.
                            I am so blessed to have this family....
